Transcription: The world's worst nuclear accident happened on the 26th of April 1986, when an explosion destroyed the core of Number 4 reactor at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the Ukraine. For the next 10 days, radioactive contamination poured from the reactor and was carried westwards across Europe. The radioactive fallout extended from Scandinavia to Turkey and as far west as Ireland.
